Crunchy paws abound...

It’s been rather crunchy under paw this week.
Miss furry has taken to tip toeing across the garden to her beloved fence to minimise the contact with the frozen ground.

It’s quite entertaining watching her almost ballet performance. My self and Mister Gnome both thought if Miss furry had so wished she could have definitely auditioned for the royal ballet (cat division obviously).

Miss furry on the other had does not share our enjoyment of the ballet each morning and would be “very grateful if the white crunchy stuff could go!”

No pleasing some people is there. It’s either too windy, too wet, too cold or too hot. It doesn’t leave a lot of choice weather wise does it? And look... who is in the paddock.

Mrs goat doesn’t seem to mind the white crunchy stuff, Look all you need is a coat. Well after I said that I realised  but alas too late...  “All I need is a coat!” “Well really, what do you call this furry stuff all over my rather fine feline body?”... Emm...

“A COAT!! I AM covered in A COAT! Honesty what hope has a cat got”. (Oh dear I though) my self and Mister  Gnome both slowly started backing away. “ A COAT! Indeed!!”

Still  on a positive note at least it stopped Miss Furry complaining about frosty paws so not all bad...

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
