Who dares to sit on my fence?

Dear all, I have had quite strange week this past week.  Do you know friends a new cat is in town. Well when I say in town-I mean our small furry hamlet.

Said cat, rather fine looking not quite as s sophisticated as Felicity The Fabulous Feline. But definitely a rather hauty feline with a lovely fur. (If you like that kind of thing and Obviously not as pretty as mine friends.)

I was just informing Mister Gnome about this strange new visitor when who should saunter by.

And look friends she has the audacity to sit bold as anything on MY!!fence. I mean,  even Mister Marmalade wouldn’t dream of doing such a thing.

Because Mister Marmalade has read the rules he knows  what’s expected. There is no confusion. Every morning he tip toes past my fence to the Daisy field as I sit on my post all noble looking, he sneaks down on his tummy and I tilt my head in defiance and so it goes on.

This feline however obviously hasn’t seen the rules

(and I don’t know how that is possible because they are printing very clearly and attached very securely on my post.)

And rather cheekily though this was a through route. A through route!  indeed. The very nerve. As you can imagine friends this lead to “A rather tense episode”, where I told of my rules  and then she said I don’t care about your rules, and I said they are very clear and she said so what and on it went friends. For some time.

Until luckily for the new feline, mum called me in for lunch. As you know I’m very found of my lunch. (As well as every other mealtime).  I informed “miss you know who” that after lunch if she dared to be there,  (oh and my after lunch nap) she will be very sorry indeed.

She has been warned So there...

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
