Felicity The Fabulously Glamorous Feline...

Miss Furry has a feline nemesis. No not Mister Marmalade (although that is a fair assumption) but the most ever so elegant cat (it doesn't sound fancy enough to call her just a cat). I think I have ever seen.

She is so pretty not a piece of her beautiful silky smoothed down fur is out of place. Unlike  you know whome, who has an ability to look like she has constantly been pulled through a hedge backward no matter how much grooming she does!

Well the ever so elegant feline doesn't know about Miss Furry's rules of the garden (yes that's right the ones with the amended appendix furry code).

And seems to enjoy the morning air whilst nonchalantly strolling along Miss Furry's back fence.

If only I had stopped myself before I spoke. (Well I could kick myself now but you know how sometimes you speak before you realise). I happened this morning to be watching the Goat's from the kitchen window (I can recommend it, watching goats very entertaining)!
When I saw the most glamorous kitty I have ever seen. Well you see Miss Furry is rather scruffy, sh! don't tell her. So I am sort of used to the lived in cat look.

So when I saw the glamorous feline I was rather taking aback. "Oh" I said out loud "what a pretty cat I am going to see her and say hello". I quite forgot about Miss Furry and her amazing hearing power! (Well selective).

I felt a furry stare on the back of my neck so hard my hair stood on end.   Which made me stop quite still, this was accompanied by a furry leg twinning Miss Furry herself. Oh dear I thought. "What are you doing?" Miss Furry looked indignant and placed her tin helmet firmly on her head. "I hope you were not intending to visit Miss Fancy paws over there! And just in case you where remember that it's more trendy the lived in cat look!.

Oh dear I though as Miss Furry went off muttering to herself couldn't quite hear but it sounded like "any furry body can look that tidy it takes real style to look like me"... oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear!...

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
