Who has eaten Mr Gnomes home ?...

Poor Mr Gnome has had a few problems this week, it started with the ever expanding too big Rhubarb leaves which then attracted  the ever so persistent presents of two munching  ever so friendly goats on the roof of his house.

Mr gnome you may remember lives under the Rhubarb plant at the bottom of the garden.  This week has been an exceptionally trying one as the eating of his roof has somewhat overwhelmed him.  Mr gnome normally has a sunny disposition and regularly takes council with Miss furry. But  this week he has decided enough is enough and it's time to move.

Miss furry thought she ought to help her friend Mr Gnome relocate (too which we were all rather surprised as in fact Miss Furry doesn't normally offer any assistance to anyone), being as she is rather difficult and dare I say it selfish. So of she went to help.

Unfortunately however this didn't happen because who should happen to pass by?, only the cuddly Mr Marmalade  who had decided to go Daisy sniffing (he loves it I tell you!)  at the very moment that Miss Furry was looking for a suitable location for Mr Gnomes house.

Off she went yawling and parading back and forth on the  fence (yes that's right with her shiny breast plate and helmet on). Poor Mr marmalade was again stricken by fear and did the if- I-stand- very-still-behind-this-blade-of-grass Miss Furry will forget about me being here and  hopefully will stop. Whilst at the same time putting his paws over his sploggy ears.

I ran into the garden to help Mr Marmalade and to offer assistance to Mr Gnome who had quite been forgotten about in all the fuss and commotion!.
I tutted at Miss Furry who had a look of "What that's the rules nothing furry or otherwise to walk past my back fence".

I found Mr Gnome a lovely new location no thanks to you know who...

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
