This is no place for a wood pigeon...

You wouldn't think a fence would be so decisive. But here at Furry H Q  it's the place of many a fued.

Miss Furry The Great (her words) has this week been doing her up most to defend it. Though in all fairness she does most days unless of course it's raining, snowing, a bit windy, a tad too hot, not quite warm enough, the flowers are too flowery or it might rain at some point or there is a strange smell in the air. I'm which case she sleeps in her blanket box until more pleasant weather resumes.

The ever so clumsy Mr Wood Pigeon however has quite forgotten the no feathery or furry invaders allowed rules. And is again using our garden as a landing and take of strip. Which in itself wouldn't be that bad if he didn't make such a racket. To hear him you would think he was the size of a house.

You can imagine how well that goes down with you know whome.  Who has just about got over Mr and Mrs Goat, the occasional Marvellous Mr Mouse, Mr Marmalade, oh and the Ever So Elegant Feline. To name but a few that frequently pass by her way. That now she has to put up with Mr Clumsy Wood Pigeon. The worse lander and take off-er flying thing ever.

Miss Furry has decided that  her garden is indeed "No place for a Wood Pigeon!" ....lest anymore should decided to fly by... Oh dear I can feel an amendment to the rules...yes that's right the ones by popular demand appendix something...

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
