Is that a Racehorse Mr Marmalade?...

That sploggy dot in the distance is the ever so cuddly Mister Marmalade. Miss Furry spotted him with her eagle eye from the not so sunny window.

Miss Furry has been stuck in as she is rather fair weather and doesn't like getting her paws wet (heaven forbid) and we do seemed to have had allot of rain this past couple of days. So she has been protecting her Fur'dom from the not so sunny window. When she spotted Mister Marmalade and that was that.

We then had the Ninja flailing paw routine  accompanied with the loud yawling just to add to her fur'ocious'ness... Luckily for Mr Marmalade he couldn't hear her or watch her performance as he was rather transfixed by the horse gallop which is at the front of the cottage.

Occasionally the horses run past and when they do it's makes aloud thundering noise. Mr Marmalade must have been so engrossed he forgot all about visiting his favourite place the Daisy field and he quite forgot to pass Miss Furry's back fence.

I said to Miss Furry " oh that's nice look Mr Marmalade has something else he likes to do, watch the horses "...Miss furry fixed me a hard stare yes that's right the one that cuts through butter before sauntering of to speak to the gnomes...with her nose high in the air humph "Mr Marmalade watching the horses indeed"...

Oh dear I think Miss Furry is a bit offended. No one can be more important than her...

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
