A kingdom fur my horse..

Miss Furry has decided with all the airborne invaders well namely one Mr Clumsy Wood pigeon, the fence was no longer a suitable spot for fur'valience as she has nearly been knocked of once or twice due to the  incoming flight of  said Mr Clumsy Wood Pigeon.

After the second near miss.  Miss Furry though she needed a higher vantage spot. ( It's an important job you know repelling all invaders).  The highest  possible without tree climbing. She tried that once and decided  after the Fire Brigade had to be called it was best not to repeat that activity any time soon!.

So Miss Furry took up position upon the rickety old shed. Miss Furry The Great ( I know  but what can you do )  can now survey all within her fur'dom. In relative safety.

The  rather large Mr Clumsy Wood Pigeon (yes that's right the one who has been using our garden as a landing and take off strip). Has really ruffled the fur of you know who.

"I mean how rude" ... (I know Miss Furry), "without a thought for the racket it causes".  (Yes I know Miss Furry).  " And what with  him being so clumsy" (I know Miss Furry, I know) " I mean a cats just not safe".

To be fair to Miss Furry he does cause quite a stir within the feathery fraternity also who all  happily reside in the fur tree. Without too much fuss most of the time.

Miss Furry The Great has taken it upon herself to not only protect her garden ( it's a full time job you know!) but to also insure The Clumsy Mr Wood Pigeon does not knock her "of the fence anymore thank you very much, as it keeps knocking my helmet off".
And we all know how much Miss Furry loves her shiny tin helmet...

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
