Perfectly pink...

Miss Furry loves a pink sky. It's so atmospheric isn't it.  The horses (unicorns ssh remember don't tell anyone)...look beautiful against the failing light.

Miss Furry was perched on the fence probably waiting for you know  who ( Mr marmalade), who in all fairness hasn't been for days. (Can't think why, he got such a good reception last time!)

It's  was beautiful however  watching it get darker and darker, and the pink swirls got fainter and fainter until they where tiny, dainty wisps in the sky.

The air was so still and peaceful. Miss Furry was transfixed.

Be still the air as night unfolds,
And the hint of the day that's been.
Still glows, but gently now.
Bit by bit it fades
 hinted trail be far away
I watch and wait
and still my tail
Till no more be seen this ever day...

Mr Marmalade Finds Courage

Mr Marmalade Finds Courage
Mister Marmalade is a friendly old cat who has two things he must always remember every day; one never to go backwards into bushes as he often gets stuck, and two, never ever in sunny weather walk past Miss Furry's fence. Unfortunately for Mister Marmalade, he, forgot one of those two things on this fine sunny day! Also available in Canada, USA & Japan. (As well as the UK.) Please use there respective stores to purchase them in those places. Above is the UK Link.

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
