Fur'who the bell tolls...

Miss Furry is a bit unfriendly (I may have mentioned this once or twice). Any garden invader I use this term loosely as in all fairness our garden is the only way to the woods (yes that way passed Mr-kindly -next-door-neighbour). So any furry, feathery friends need to pass this way.

We have had a very feathery large Wood Pidgeon visiting us the passed couple of days. You can hear when he lands as the whole garden seems to shudder and shake as leaves and branches you had never seen before lift and fill the air, before settle back down to non existence ( where do they go?).

This has put Miss Fur'ocios Feline (I know it's gone colder but she can't help herself!) on high alert, you can see her patrolling the fence to 'repel all invaders'. Have you heard of the Border Reviers.  Northumberland has many Peel Towers along its borders between Scotland and England as in ancient time's it was a troubled county. Well we have the fur' der Revier. She has taken it upon herself to protect the garden at all cost all she needs is a Helmet  and Breast Plate.

I have decided to attach a bell to her in order to warn possible friends or foe of her presents (I think Mr Marmalde Will be pleased as he does have a terrible memory).

Mr Marmalade Finds Courage
Mister Marmalade is a friendly old cat who has two things he must always remember every day; one never to go backwards into bushes as he often gets stuck, and two, never ever in sunny weather walk past Miss Furry's fence. Unfortunately for Mister Marmalade, he, forgot one of those two things on this fine sunny day! Also available in Canada, USA & Japan. (As well as the UK.) Please use there respective stores to purchase them in those places. Above is the UK Link.

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
