Moonlight...
Looking out toward the lake.
I see the silvery shimmer of light.
That bobs and ripples,
moving and twisting.
Floating across the water.
Gently the shingle rumbles,
as it rolls to and fro.
I sit and quietly listen,
engulfed in light and sound.
I can hear the lapping of the water
and smell the sweet crisp air.
It slightly makes me tingle,
And I hug my knees to my chest.
The moon, it light's up the sky
and gently it spreads it's light.
Not like the sun all brash and bold.
But softly creamy and delicately white.
I see the silvery shimmer of light.
That bobs and ripples,
moving and twisting.
Floating across the water.
Gently the shingle rumbles,
as it rolls to and fro.
I sit and quietly listen,
engulfed in light and sound.
I can hear the lapping of the water
and smell the sweet crisp air.
It slightly makes me tingle,
And I hug my knees to my chest.
The moon, it light's up the sky
and gently it spreads it's light.
Not like the sun all brash and bold.
But softly creamy and delicately white.
