The day when...

My son told me today I am suffering from "over -vacuum - itis" . If you not aware of this condition it shows it self with a mad obsessive compulsion to wildly fling the vacuum around in an attempt to save the carpet from "fur me geddin".

Don't be alarm it's not contagious as evidently no one else in this house seems to suffer from it... However furry has been out in the sunshine today a lot happier than yesterday excuse furries flayin legs very lady like☺

    you can keep the hoover as long as you need it I don't suffer with the afore mentioned medical affliction nice blog x

Helen Lewins is an author. Helen was born in Northumberland but due to the closure of the coal mines, her parents moved the family to North London to take up work as publicans. After school, she started an apprenticeship with an electrical engineering medical company where she worked for many years as a Service Engineer. With a calling for something else more creative she went travelling in the UK and worked the summer in a hotel on the Jurassic Coast. This led her to study hospitality management and after graduation, she took on a role as a hotel Manager back in Northumberland. Then her life changed forever and along came her beautiful son. It became obvious early on that he was developing at a different rate from his peers. He had limited speech until he was eight years old. Eventually, after quite a long journey he was diagnosed with Autism. That is when Helen started to write about Miss Furry to entertain her son as it was based on their pet cat. It has been a very personal journey for them both and Helen hopes that Miss Furry brings joy to other children. Helen and her Son live in Northumberland with Miss Furry who does indeed spend her days patrolling the fence.
